Zero waste stores eliminate all packaging by making their products available to buy loose, with the customer supplying their own reusable jars, boxes, bags and other containers to transport it home.

Because customer are measuring out what they buy, they can make sure to only buy what they need, reducing food waste. You can buy in bulk for things you use regularly e.g. pasta and smaller quantities of less frequently used products e.g. spices.
